Enlai held his map at arms’ length, his arms spread as far as he could spread them. He didn’t recognize anything.
“So. Just how lost are we?” Mei asked.
“Errr… quite. We are quite lost,” Enlai admitted.
“Let me see,” she said as she popped up between his arms. The top of her head barely grazed Enlai’s chin. Enlai shifted uncomfortably as her skirt caught in the wind and danced across his thighs.
“You’re right, we’re completely lost. I can’t even see where we came from,” Mei said.
“I’m so sorry,” Enlai said. He was trying to concentrate on the map rather than simply glancing down Mei’s low-cut blouse. He failed and saw hints of a pink polka-dot bra.
Mei suddenly looked up at him, her head bumping into his chest.
“What do you think?” she asked.
“I, uh, I’m sorry, what do I think about what?” he asked, his face flushing.
“I said it’s not so bad around here. Do you think we could just have the picnic here?” she said.
He glanced around. There was a babbling brook, birds singing, green grass and flowers. It was pretty.
“What about the others?” he asked.
“Suí biàn,” she said with a smile.
Enlai was fairly certain he could not remain a gentleman with this woman for another five minutes. They would bring shame to each other’s families in very short order. He had to find the others.
“Er, um, ah! Oh! Here, I think I see where we came from,” he said, looking very intently at the map.
“Oh?” she said, looking back at the map. He couldn’t quite see her expression.
“Yes, see over there on the left? I can’t point, but over there by the Planet Xin Huǒxīng? I think we skipped from New Blighty all the way over here, which is why we can’t see it on the map.”
“Ah yes, I see! Good eye! Here, you just hold the map like that and I’ll start up the launch sequence,” she said.
She kicked off her sandals and turned to face Enlai. He looked down at her in confusion. She grabbed both of his ears, pulled his face down to her lips, and kissed him passionately. She reached behind her with her left leg and tapped the launch icon with her toe.
They were still locked in that kiss when the map enveloped them and launched them back across the Planets.

Viewer's Guide, Oct 2089 It's Morphing Time: Does the success of Atlantic's Dragon Warriors excuse historical revisionism? If you follow Viewer's Guide, or indeed if you've glanced at a screen within the past two months, you're likely familiar with Battlin' Blazin' Dragon Warriors. Riding the wave of the current 20th Century revival, Atlantic's new show has quickly proved a crossover hit, and not without reason: it's colourful, kinetic, and delightfully dumb, with a thick layer of cheese to ensure that if you're too old to engage with it sincerely, you have plenty of reason to watch it ironically. It's also reportedly cheap to produce, re-using footage from the Japanese sentai show Three Swords Dragoon, and padded with new material to transport the action to a California High School. Both shows are runaway cultural juggernauts, but like the landfill's worth of plastic toys they're already producing, their legacy will be long-lasting, and quite possibly toxic. The

Mama married Daniel today at a church in Daniel’s home town of Gilchrest.
The church was packed. Mostly Daniel’s people. He comes from a large family, the majority of whom live right here in town. On Mama’s side it was just me, Allie, Aunt Helen, my Cousins Julian, Tristan and little Sadie and Mama’s coven Sisters; Simone, Louise and Hanifah.
Everyone loved the decorations which is gratifying, considering all the work we put into them. The theme was the four elements with a nod to our African roots. The church has four seating sections divided by columns and each section got a different element while

The Knight of the Castle
It was a brief story found hiding between the legend of Sir Gawain and a tome of German lessons- thin and with a nondescript title. Nothing of note, yet it piqued Beatrice’s curiosity. She frowned softly to herself as she read.
It started, as many stories do, with its protagonist losing everything to personal tragedy.
Sir Lawrence arrived at the castle Rosenbaum without anyone or anything left in his world. He had no wealth or land, and his once-silvered tongue had turned to lead in his mouth. All he could offer in exchange for a place to stay were his proficiencies with a sword and mount.
The king and queen accepted, sympathetic to

Man, I was pretty dry of ideas today. I was actually sparked by a prompt. "An unusual way to travel."
Suí biàn means, more or less, "choose as you wish" in Chinese. Not that I actually know Chinese. I should ask `zebrazebrazebra.
