Literature Text

He tumbled from the window like an acrobat, glass sparkling like glitter.
He landed like a crippled elephant and kneed himself in the jaw.
Limping his very fastest, he hobbled down the cobblestone way, glittery bloody footprints following his path.
An old woman in a nightdress opened her door ahead.
One squinty-eyed look sent her into cackling, cronish laughter.
It was then that Jin realized that his underpants had been completely torn off as he'd leapt from the window.
No time to be modest now.
He lifted his head high, tilted his hips forward and did his best to turn his limp into a swagger.  Feast your eyes, you hag!
Then two more homes lit up and doors started to open.
Modesty was suddenly demanded.
A very angry shout rang out in the street behind him.
Speed was also very much in demand.
He resumed his speedy limp and tried in vain to both keep his balance and the few shreds left of his pride.
Giggles were breaking out ahead of him and angry shouting was gaining on him.
He sped for the bushes at the end of the road and dove in.  Angry, laughing folk were just a little bit behind him.
Jin found his broom, shook off the seemingly deaf rat that lay on it, and mounted the broom sidesaddle.
"Yip yip yaw!" he yelled.
Hands broke through the bushes.
Jin went soaring into the air, laughing hysterically. The broom tilted dangerously as he looked down on the good townfolk below.
"You just can't raise a demon in peace and quiet anymore," he sighed.
I was very low on time. The ending line could use a good deal more "punchiness" but I haven't the time tonight to figure it out.
I'll get the hang of this. Probably.
